Who Writes This Review Site, and Why
An independent editorial team explains its purpose, its limits, and how it answers to readers in the United Arab Emirates.
Partner deposits and payoutsWhy does this site exist, and who is it for?
A reader in Dubai once wrote to us after a bad week. He had opened an account with a trading platform because a review elsewhere had called it simple, and he wanted to know why the fees on his statement did not match the fees on that review page. We could not fix his account. We are not the broker and we hold no client money. But the question stayed with us: what should a person in the Emirates be able to learn about a broker before signing up, and from whom?
This site exists to answer that question for readers here. It reviews one broker, eToro, from the perspective of someone living in the United Arab Emirates. It is written for people who are comparing what a platform says about itself with what using it actually involves. It is not written for traders looking for a signal, a strategy, or a recommendation to buy anything.
The team is small and independent. We are not the broker. We are not affiliated with the broker. We do not open accounts, take deposits, or provide financial services or advice. We publish what we can verify and explain what we cannot.
What can a review actually tell you, and what can it not?
A review can describe how a platform is built: what the interface shows, what a fee schedule says, how a withdrawal request is handled according to published terms, and where the documentation is clear or vague. It can point out that a feature exists and explain what it does. It can report what other users say, with the caveat that their experience may not be yours.
A review cannot tell you whether trading is right for you. It cannot predict what a market will do. It cannot confirm that a platform will behave well in every case, because no written review can see into a company's operations. It cannot replace the terms and conditions you agree to when you open an account, and it cannot stand in for legal or tax advice about your own situation.
We try to be explicit about this boundary. When we describe a process, we say where our information comes from. When we do not know something, we say so rather than filling the gap with a guess.
How often are the pages checked and updated?
Pages are revisited on a schedule, not once and forgotten. Fee tables, account terms, and regulatory disclosures change, sometimes quietly. When a page depends on a document the broker publishes, we check that document again before we let the page stand unchanged for too long.
The interval depends on the page. Pages that describe costs or account conditions are checked more often than pages that describe general features. Every page carries a date showing when it was last reviewed. If a change is significant, we note what changed rather than silently rewriting the text.
We do not claim that a page is current at the moment you read it. A review is a snapshot with a date on it, and you should treat it that way.
How does the site pay for itself without selling its verdicts?
The site is funded through advertising and commercial arrangements that are kept separate from editorial judgments. A commercial arrangement does not buy a favourable assessment, a higher ranking, or a softer description of a fee. If we cannot say that plainly about a particular arrangement, we do not enter into it.
What we will not do is accept payment to change a finding, remove a criticism, or publish a page that we would not otherwise publish. The editorial team decides what a page says. The business side of the site does not see a draft before it goes live and does not hold a veto over it.
Where a page includes a commercial link, that is disclosed on the page itself. The disclosure is there so you can weigh what you read, not so you can be reassured by it.
How can you challenge something published here, and what will we not do?
If you believe a page is wrong, tell us. Use the contact form on this site and point to the page and the sentence. If you can, include the source you are relying on, such as a term in the broker's own documentation. We read these messages and we correct errors when they are shown to us. A correction is noted on the page rather than made silently.
We will not name or discuss other brokers in these pages, and we will not compare this broker with named competitors. We will not invent a licence number, a registration, an address, a phone number, or an e-mail address, and we will not claim that this site is regulated, licensed, or endorsed by any authority. We will not give personal advice, recommend a trade, or promise any result. We will not publish a verdict that we cannot explain in plain language.
That is the whole of the arrangement. You read, you check, and you hold us to what we wrote.
